Honda Australia Motorcycle and Power Equipment has announced the launch of Australia’s first-ever 6-year motorcycle warranty, tripling warranty coverage and offering eligible on-road Honda motorcycles up to six years of worry-free riding with no kilometre limit. Press: Honda Australia MC

For eligible on-road Honda motorcycles delivered on or after 1 July 2025, the standard factory warranty increases from two years to three years, creating an immediate one year increase in coverage for Honda owners, while also ensuring new eligible Honda motorcycle owners are supported throughout their entire ownership journey. Riders who complete all their standard scheduled services at an authorised Honda dealer can also unlock up to three years of extended warranty, providing a total of up to six years of warranty protection, the longest motorcycle warranty currently offered in Australia.

There is no additional cost to activate the extended warranty and the warranty is also transferrable should the first owner decide to sell their motorcycle before the end of the warranty period. The 6-year warranty is designed to provide continuity, confidence and genuine support across years of riding – not just the day the keys are handled over.

For riders, the most meaningful impact of the new warranty is the reassurance it provides — confidence that their motorcycle is built to perform, and to last. Honda’s extended coverage applies across its on‑road range, including motorcycles engineered for demanding and extreme riding. This includes the CBR1000RR‑R Fireblade, a litre‑class superbike developed through Honda’s top‑level racing programs, as well as long‑distance adventure platforms such as the Africa Twin and Transalp, models designed for extended kilometres, heavy loads and challenging terrain. By offering up to six years of coverage with no kilometre cap, Honda is reinforcing its commitment to product quality and reliability with genuine peace of mind for owners.

The warranty also reinforces Honda’s support for riders across every stage of motorcycling, regardless of experience or riding style. From new riders starting out on accessible models such as the CB125F or Navi, to experienced enthusiasts choosing high‑performance motorcycles like the CBR1000RR‑R Fireblade, and mature riders prioritising comfort and long‑distance capability on models such as the Gold Wing, the extended warranty applies consistently across Honda’s on‑road range. By effectively tripling available warranty coverage and linking it to regular scheduled servicing, Honda provides reassurance to riders of all types — whether they are buying their first motorcycle or investing in a long‑term ownership experience.

Chris Schultz, General Manager – Powersports and Products at Honda Australia,“This is a major step forward for Australian riders. We are proud to be the first motorcycle manufacturer in Australia to offer up to six years of warranty coverage for eligible on-road models. This reflects the confidence we have in our engineering and the value we place on long-term customer support,”.

James Greenwood, General Manager – Ownership Experience, “Our customers might spend hours choosing a Honda motorcycle, but they spend years owning it. Our industry first 6-year warranty enables us to provide long term peace of mind, genuine Honda support and the freedom to enjoy riding with confidence, while recognizing the service loyalty of our customers who care for their Honda”.

The 6-year motorcycle warranty applies to eligible on-road motorcycles delivered on or after 1 July 2025 and used for private, non-commercial purposes. The extended portion is activated by completing each scheduled service with an authorised Honda dealership using Genuine Honda parts and Pro Honda Oils and lubricants. Full terms, conditions and eligible models are available at the Honda Motorcycles website.
