Hundreds of people are expected to descend on Geelong this Sunday as a local charity ride takes off on its 120km to journey to Apollo Bay in to raise funds and awareness for mental health care provider Lifeline.

For the fourth year running, Lifeline will be the beneficiary of all money raised by attendees, with the funds going to help the charity continue its critical work as a support provider for people who are experiencing mental health challenges. Last year’s event saw over 1,000 riders assemble in Geelong and make the pilgrimage to Apollo Bay in a significant statement on raising awareness for mental health.

This year’s ride is sponsored by local Harley-Davidson dealership Geelong Harley-Davidson, with the team throwing their support behind the cause to help raise funds and awareness for Lifeline and draw attention to the importance of their work.

The event will commence at 8:00am this Sunday the 14th of January at the Southbound BP at 455 Geelong Ring Road, with a charity auction set to take place at 9:30am. Harley-Davidson Australia has also pledged its support for the charity efforts with the donation of a brand new Harley-Davidson X350 motorcycle for the auction. The model has only just become available through Harley-Davidson dealerships, making this a unique opportunity for Harley enthusiasts to win while supporting a worthy cause.

The ride itself will start after the auction, with stands going up at 10:15am and riders departing for the 120km cruise to Apollo Bay. The ride has a nominal entry fee of $20 as part of the charity fundraising efforts, with riders able to register via the Million Dollar Bogan Facebook page. A GoFundMe donation page has also been created to support the charity ride, with riders and community members encouraged to get on board with a donation.
