The legend does it once again! Turkish Hero Toprak Razgatlıoğlu capped off an extraordinary 2025 World Superbike season by clinching the championship title at Jerez after a tense and emotional final day for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team. Press: WorldSBK Press. The Turkish star crashed out of the morning Superpole Race at Turn 5, forcing him to start Race 2 from tenth on the grid — but with trademark composure, he worked his way through the field to secure a podium and the points needed to seal the crown.

Razgatlıoğlu’s patient and calculated ride saw him pass Alex Lowes, Xavi Vierge, and Andrea Locatelli before crossing the line third, enough to confirm BMW’s second consecutive riders’ title. The result also marks the first time the manufacturer has achieved back-to-back WorldSBK crowns, underlining Razgatlıoğlu’s remarkable consistency and BMW’s rapid growth as a race-winning force.Alvaro Bautista, in his final outing with the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team, led early before teammate Nicolo Bulega surged to victory by 1.7 seconds, securing Ducati the Manufacturers’ Championship. Locatelli narrowly held off Vierge in a fierce fight for fourth, while Lowes fended off Andrea Iannone after the Italian ran wide in the closing laps. Tarran Mackenzie completed his best WorldSBK weekend yet with eighth overall and three top-ten finishes.Razgatlıoğlu ultimately claimed the championship by 13 points over Bulega, while Bautista’s late-season charge ensured third place in the standings. Reflecting on his triumph, Toprak said:

“We crashed in the Superpole Race but I stayed calm and focused on Race 2. We did a good job and took the title. I’m really happy to win this championship in my last year with BMW — it’s a nice gift before moving to MotoGP. This season wasn’t easy, but race by race we improved together.”

The 2025 World Superbike season closes with Razgatlıoğlu’s BMW partnership now immortalized in history — a perfect farewell before his long-anticipated step into MotoGP.
