According to the judging panel, the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT stood out for their ability to combine heritage styling with contemporary engineering, with the jury praising the bikes for the “precise transfer of classic visual features into a clearly structured, modern aesthetic.”
Neo-retro design with modern engineering-
The GSX-8T and GSX-8TT have been developed as neo-retro street machines, designed to blend styling cues from Suzuki’s historic models with modern performance and technology.
Both bikes feature clean, sculpted bodywork and contemporary detailing while maintaining visual links to Suzuki’s past. The design aims to appeal to riders seeking classic style without sacrificing modern capability.
Underneath the styling is Suzuki’s latest parallel-twin platform, delivering strong low- to mid-range torque and smooth power delivery. The setup is intended to suit a wide variety of riding scenarios, from daily commuting through to weekend rides and longer touring duties.
Suzuki says the bikes have also been designed with accessible ergonomics, providing a comfortable riding position that reduces fatigue and helps make the models approachable for newer riders and experienced motorcyclists.
Suzuki celebrates design recognition-
Takashi Ise, Managing Officer and Executive General Manager of Motorcycle Operations at Suzuki, welcomed the recognition. “We are honoured that the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT have received the prestigious Red Dot Award,” said Ise. “Both models are neo-retro street bikes that appeal to the unique and attractive elements of Suzuki’s past iconic models and modern performance.”
“Designed to suit a wide range of riding situations, they offer enjoyment to customers across diverse lifestyles. Suzuki upholds the corporate slogan of ‘By Your Side’ and will continue to make efforts to create products that satisfy our customers in both performance and design.”
The award highlights Suzuki’s growing focus on design within its modern motorcycle lineup, with the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT representing a fusion of heritage styling and contemporary engineering.
