Updated 2019 Suzuki RM-Z250 announced
The Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) has announced its next generation quarter-litre motocross machine; the 2019 RM-Z250, and while details are still limited at this stage, it seems like this new edition will following the philosophy of the updated 2018 RM-Z450.
Styling matches the current generation RM-Z450, while the latest generation frame and swingarm work in conjunction to improve upon handling and turning performance. Front forks return to coil-spring type design with an updated rear shock to match. A larger front brake disc and new front brake pads improve the RM-Z250’s stopping performance.
The updated 249cc engine benefits from improved throttle response and increased overall engine output. The advanced traction management system has evolved to work seamlessly with the rider in order to get maximum power to the ground.
Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC) has also been enhanced for MY19, while a new exhaust system features changes to the structure and inner material. Updated Renthal Fatbar aluminium handlebar and new tyres cap-off the list of key changes announced.
Expected Australian arrival and release is during the first quarter of 2019, while more details information regarding technical updates, final specification and pricing are yet to be announced. See the Suzuki Motorcycles website for more information.
