Yamaha D’elight 125 model overview with Gareth Jones
Yamaha Motor Australia have just released a video with world endurance racer Gareth Jones and his wife giving us a look at a pocket size commuter, the 2020 Yamaha D’elight 125. Check out the video below to find out more on the light scooter that’s even lighter on your pocket.
The Yamaha D’elight 125 is back for another year with it’s small size and tiny price tag, hailed by Yamaha as the affordable compact alternative to overcrowded public transport and traffic congestion. Priced at just $3599 inc GST ride away, with 12 months registration, it’s a great entry-level scooter for a small price.
Weighing in at just 99kg wet, the Yamaha looks to have a good balanced between being small and having plenty of under-seat storage with Yamaha claiming the scooter will fit daily shopping, a full-face helmet, and even a laptop. Along with this is the 630mm dual seat which leaves enough space for the rider and a passenger.

Yamaha have provided the D’elight with a 125cc Blue Core engine with a CVT automatic transmission, to allow the rider to just twist the throttle and go. Yamaha has said that the 12-inch front wheel and 10-inch rear wheel provide stability and balanced handling, while Yamaha’s Unified Braking System (UBS) deliver excellent stopping power.
