There, the world gets its sneak peek of 2023 as riders head out in new colours with new teams, and many on new machinery. GASGAS will also officially join the fold, bringing another brand onto the MotoGP grid and a rookie, too.

That one-day test takes place on the Tuesday following the Valencia GP, and fans can watch all the track action LIVE on motogp.com – as well as enjoy an exclusive range of extra and behind-the-scenes content from the team at the circuit.

Pre-season testing in 2023 for the MotoGP class will then take place at Sepang and Portimão, as already confirmed:

  • Sepang Shakedown Test: 5th – 7th February
  • Sepang Test: 10th – 12th February
  • Portimão Test: 11th – 12th March

In-season tests for the MotoGP class can now also be added to the agenda. There will be one-day official tests for the MotoGP class following the Spanish Grand Prix and the San Marino Grand Prix:

  • Jerez Test: 1st May
  • Misano Test: 11th September

For Moto2 and Moto3, the season will begin with private testing, but with all teams and riders present, at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto:

  • Moto3: 9th – 10th March
  • Moto2: 14th – 15th March

The official 2023 pre-season test will then take place at Portimão:

  • Moto2 and Moto3 Test: 17th – 19th March

There will also be one-day official tests for the Moto2 and Moto3 classes after the Spanish Grand Prix and the British Grand Prix.  

  • Jerez Moto2 and Moto3 Test: 2nd May
  • Silverstone Moto2 and Moto3 Test: 7th August
