New Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS Unveiled!
Triumph has pulled the covers off the 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS, and it’s more powerful, refined, and tech-packed than ever. With its signature triple-cylinder grunt, razor-sharp handling, and a host of cutting-edge features, this latest iteration is set to raise the bar yet again. Press: Triumph

Available from $31,490 rideaway, the 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS comes in three striking colour schemes: Jet Black, Granite with Diablo Red, and Granite with Performance Yellow.
Under the tank sits Triumph’s 1160cc triple engine, now producing an impressive 183PS (134kW) at 10,750rpm and 128Nm at 8750rpm. This means even more relentless acceleration and seamless power delivery across the rev range, ensuring that unmistakable Speed Triple rush. A revised crankshaft balancing strategy enhances engine refinement, making it smoother while still delivering that addictive throttle response.
Handling has also been fine-tuned, with Öhlins SmartEC3 semi-active suspension offering real-time adjustments for optimum control. The lightweight chassis and aggressive riding position make for a precise and engaging ride, while Brembo Stylema calipers paired with a span and ratio-adjustable MCS lever provide top-tier braking performance. Grippy Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres further cement the bike’s racetrack pedigree while remaining street-legal.
Weighing in at just 199kg ready to ride, the Speed Triple remains one of the lightest bikes in its class. Slightly wider and higher handlebars, along with a sculpted seat profile, ensure a natural, comfortable riding position without sacrificing agility. Every element of the bike has been designed to offer an intuitive connection between rider and machine.
Tech-wise, Triumph has loaded the 1200 RS with a comprehensive electronics package. The Öhlins Objective Based Tuning Interface (OBTi) allows riders to fine-tune suspension dynamics with adjustable parameters like front and rear firmness, braking support, acceleration support, and more. New for 2025 are adjustable Front Wheel Lift Control, Engine Braking Control, and Brake Slide Control. Cruise control comes standard, adding extra convenience for longer rides.
For those wanting an even angrier exhaust note, the optional Akrapovič silencer is a must-have, featuring a titanium wrap and carbon fibre end cap. The bike’s new free-flowing exhaust system not only enhances performance but also delivers that signature Triumph triple bark.
Aesthetically, the Speed Triple 1200 RS remains true to its roots while sharpening its already aggressive stance. The classic twin headlights and single-sided swingarm remain, but refined bodywork, lightweight new wheels, and a sharp new seat cowl add to its modern appeal. A new lithium-ion battery helps shave weight while contributing to the bike’s excellent power-to-weight ratio.
The 5.0-inch TFT instrument display is crisp and user-friendly, offering access to five riding modes—Rain, Road, Sport, Track, and Rider (fully customisable). The My Triumph Connectivity System comes standard, enabling turn-by-turn navigation, phone integration, and music control. Safety features like Optimised Cornering ABS, switchable Optimised Cornering Traction Control, and an Emergency Deceleration Warning system add to its well-rounded package.
Available from $31,490 rideaway, the 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS comes in three striking colour schemes: Jet Black, Granite with Diablo Red, and Granite with Performance Yellow. With over 25 Genuine Triumph Accessories available, riders can fine-tune the bike to suit their style. Expected in Australian dealerships from April 2025, this latest Speed Triple is set to be the ultimate naked sports bike for riders who crave power, agility, and cutting-edge technology.
