BMW has unveiled the 2025 R 18 range, bringing an array of updates that enhance the big boxer. The latest iteration introduces new colour schemes, design tweaks, and a performance boost while maintaining the classic charm that defines the R 18…

More Torque, Still Euro 5+ Compliant

The heart of the R 18 remains the robust 1,802cc Big Boxer engine, now producing an increased maximum torque of 163Nm (up 5Nm) at 3,000rpm. Riders can enjoy a strong torque curve, with more than 150Nm available between 2,000 and 4,000rpm. A revised engine control system ensures compliance with Euro 5+ regulations, keeping the R 18 as refined as it is powerful.

BMW R 18: Classic Cruiser with Modern Touches

For 2025, BMW has refined the R 18’s timeless cruiser aesthetic. The most noticeable update is the new 18-inch rear wheel (previously 16-inch) with a seven double-spoke design, complemented by newly crafted front and rear fenders. The front mudguard now features sculpted elevation for a more dynamic look, while the tank design seamlessly flows into the rear fender, finishing at the BMW emblem. Other enhancements include redesigned silencers with a circular cross-section and an updated seat with 10mm thicker foam and modified contours for improved comfort.
