Kris has just had some new summer gear arrive from DRIRIDER, with the Climate Control EXO 2 jacket, Strike gloves and Street 2 boots arriving just in time for summer riding.
These join his Shoei Neotec II helmet and Dririder Rapid jeans as ideal casual summer weather riding gear, while still offering a high level of protection during the months when many riders go out riding in the bare minimum of safety gear. We’ll have full reviews up shortly on each piece of gear, but for now, here’s a quick look at the newest arrivals.
DRIRIDER Climate Control EXO 2 Jacket
The Dririder Climate Control EXO 2 Jacket is a fully vented hypersports jacket with a difference – featuring sections of leather for greater protection and durability, as well as D30 CE armour and a high-density EVA backpad. That makes the EXO 2 an ideal option for those who want all the protection, while still staying as cool as possible.
Other features include a waterproof and breathable liner, as well as a removable thermal liner, giving the EXO 2 even greater versatility across a range of conditions, with the compact liners easily carried in a bag or backpack as a backup.
A polymesh comfort lining ensures comfort when the removable liners aren’t in the jacket, alongside a collar with neoprene comfort roll, and precurved arms as well as arm and waist adjusters ensure a good fit for this sporty jacket. There’s also reflective piping to aid visibility at night, and the EXO 2 is available for $399.95 RRP from all good motorcycle stores.
DRIRIDER Street 2.0 Boot
For those after a casual ankle length boot that’ll blend into your outfit off the bike, while providing far more protection than standard shoes while riding, there’s the Street 2.0 boot.
Featuring a PU leather outer with Hipora waterproof and breathable liner the Street 2.0 boots are designed to handle a variety of riding and walking needs, while providing good all-round comfort/
A moulded nylon ankle guard provides additional protection in this area, with a Techni GI thermoplastic toecap and heel further strengthening the boot. There’s an anti-twist mid-sole too, with a vulcanised high density anti-slip sole, meaning it’ll last the rigors of riding, and grip the ground when you need it to.
Available for $169.95 the Street 2.0 boot makes for an ideal casual all-round boot, with laces and a velcro cover ensuring the boot looks trendy to boot!
DRIRIDER Strike Glove
The DRIRIDER Strike glove offers a lightweight leather and vented summer glove, blending protection with exceptional breathability. That makes the Strike glove an ideal option for those who prefer as little between their hands and the throttle as possible, while still offering protection.
The palm is leather reinforced with synthetic suede, with shock absorbing pads on the palm and fingers. Stretch panels and silicon grips are also featured alongside goatskin, stretch fabric and 3D mesh.
The velcro wrist cuff allowed a secure fit, and incorporates a extended cuff to protect the wrist bone, with these gloves available for $99.95 RRP. See your local DRIRIDER stockist for more info, or to check out the full range head to the Dririder.com.au website!
We’ll have full tests on each of these new pieces of gear shortly, so stay tuned.
