The 2018 season opener was nothing short of thrilling, and Round 2 is likely to be just as pulsating with several of Australia’s greatest riders duking it out at Wakefield Park Raceway. As it currently stands, Bryan Staring (Kawasaki BCperformance, ZX-10R) leads the points table.

Suzuki 2024

Staring will have to contend with the likes of current champion, Josh Waters (Team Suzuki ECSTAR, GSX-R1000R), Troy Herfoss (Penrite Honda, CBR1000SP), Wayne Maxwell (Yamaha Racing Team, YZF-R1M), Daniel Falzon (Yamaha Racing Team, Yamaha YZF-R1M), Glenn Allerton (NextGen Motorsports, BMWS1000RR) and many more!

World Superbike legend, Troy Bayliss (Desmosport Ducati, 1299 Panigale Final Edition) made his return to competition at ‘The Island’ and rode brilliantly to a podium position. It will be fascinating to see if he can continue to contend for victory and perhaps even the 2018 championship.

Herfoss is will be one of the favourites for Sunday’s races, as Wakefield Park Raceway is not only his hometrack, but he is also a gun around this circuit.
