Australian Superbike Championship title contender Harrison Voight has moved within touching distance of his maiden Australian Superbike Championship after a dominant double victory at Morgan Park Raceway. The McMartin Racing Ducati rider produced a flawless weekend, claiming pole position before winning both SW-Motech Superbike races to extend his championship lead over defending champion and teammate Josh Waters to 24 points heading into the season finale at Queensland Raceway on June 26-28.
Voight now leads the standings on 198 points, with Waters second on 174, while Yamaha rider Cameron Dunker sits too far behind to realistically challenge for the championship despite remaining third overall.
The 20-year-old’s victories marked his fifth win from nine races this season and further underlined his emergence as Australia’s form Superbike rider. “To win again means a lot, which is a big credit to everyone at McMartin Racing,” Voight said. “Mike (Jones) kept me honest in race two. I knew he had the X tyre on and he is so fast around here. I had to keep in front of him.”
Waters finished second and third across the two races, while Mike Jones completed the podium with third and second-place finishes respectively after pushing Voight throughout race two. The results also secured the inaugural Superbike Teams Championship for McMartin Racing with one round remaining.
Championship battles intensify
The Kawasaki Supersport Next Gen and Supersport classes produced plenty of drama, with Olly Simpson suffering a race one non-start before bouncing back to win race two.
Consistency proved decisive, however, with BCperformance Kawasaki teammates Tom Edwards and Hayden Nelsontaking maximum championship advantage. Edwards now leads the Next Gen standings by just four points over Nelson.
In Supersport, Valentino Knezovic inherited the championship lead after rival Jake Farnsworth retired with mechanical problems.
Nauta storms into Supersport 300 lead.
The Race and Road Supersport 300 title fight also took a dramatic twist as teenager Riley Nauta dominated the weekend with three race wins.
Combined with a crash for championship rival Tyler King in race two, Nauta transformed a 27-point deficit into a four-point championship lead heading into the deciding round. Meanwhile, the BLU CRU R3 Cup produced its usual close racing, with Matthew Ritter claiming two victories while Oscar Lewis retained the series lead.
Superbike Masters returns
The opening Superbike Masters round of 2026 saw Ashley Woolford and Jack Passfield share the honours, with Woolford winning the opening two races before Passfield claimed victory in race three.
Queensland finale awaits
The 2026 Penrite Australian Superbike Championship will now be decided at Queensland Raceway from June 26-28, where Harrison Voight will attempt to convert his championship advantage into a maiden Australian Superbike crown.
