Royal Enfield has announced the inaugural Himalayan Base Camp
Held at an altitude of 11,480 feet in the heart of the Himalayas, the event is designed to bring together riders, overlanders, climbers, explorers and outdoor enthusiasts for what Royal Enfield describes as a celebration of the adventure lifestyle rather than a traditional motorcycle festival.
Royal Enfield has announced the inaugural Himalayan Base Camp – Ladakh Edition, a three-day adventure gathering set to take place in Leh, Ladakh, from September 4–6, 2026. The company says the Himalayan Base Camp has been created as an immersive experience where participants become active contributors rather than spectators, taking part in expeditions, workshops, challenges and skills-based activities throughout the three-day program.

While motorcycling remains central to the event, the scope extends far beyond two wheels. Activities will include overlanding, cycling, kayaking, bouldering, mountaineering and other outdoor pursuits designed to showcase the diverse adventure opportunities available in the spectacular Ladakh region. Royal Enfield has long maintained a strong connection with Ladakh, a destination that has become synonymous with adventure motorcycling and Himalayan exploration. The region’s dramatic mountain landscapes and challenging terrain have played a significant role in the growth of the brand’s global adventure-riding culture.
Royal Enfield Chief Brand Officer Mohit Dhar Jayal said the event is intended to unite people with a shared passion for exploration regardless of how they choose to pursue adventure. “The Himalayan Base Camp is a rendezvous point for all adventurers, regardless of whether they are driven by horsepower, willpower or their own two feet,” Jayal said.
“The program combines action, instruction and a variety of expeditions that will take adventurers out of their comfort zone and bring them back to base with a whole new set of skills and experiences.” Royal Enfield says the event will feature expert-led sessions, practical workshops and curated expeditions, with participants helping shape the overall experience and community atmosphere.
