Founded in 1901, Royal Enfield remains the oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production, with a history now spanning 125 years. Over the past decade the company has transformed from a largely domestic manufacturer into a major global player within the mid-capacity motorcycle segment. Today, Royal Enfield operates in more than 80 countries and supports a worldwide retail network exceeding 3,200 stores, alongside seven international CKD assembly facilities and a rapidly growing global riding community.
The company says its success continues to be driven by its focus on “Pure Motorcycling” — combining simple, character-filled motorcycles with accessible pricing, strong community engagement and heritage-inspired styling. Royal Enfield’s current lineup spans multiple categories including Heritage, Cruiser, Roadster, Adventure and Pure Sport motorcycles, with models such as the Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350, Super Meteor 650 and Himalayan helping drive global growth.
The brand has also recently entered the electric mobility space with the launch of the new Flying Flea sub-brand and its first electric model, the Flying Flea C6 urban commuter. Royal Enfield’s growing reputation has also been reflected in recent industry studies, with the manufacturer ranking highest in overall two-wheeler initial quality in the J.D. Power 2025 study while also securing the top position in the FADA Dealer Satisfaction Survey. The result further reinforces Royal Enfield’s rise from niche heritage manufacturer to one of the motorcycle industry’s most recognisable global success stories.
