Triumph Motorcycles is set to make its Adventure class debut at the 2025 Red Bull Romaniacs, one of the world’s toughest hard enduro events. Factory riders Jonny Walker and Sam Sunderland will line up from July 22–26 in Sibiu, Romania, riding near-standard Tiger 900 Rally Pro models.

Fresh from finishing sixth at the 2025 Erzbergrodeo, Walker will compete in the Adventure Ultimate class, while two-time Dakar Rally winner and Triumph Brand Ambassador Sunderland will contest Adventure Lite. It also marks Sunderland’s first competitive outing on Triumph machinery.

Both riders will race Tigers fitted with minimal race parts, showcasing the model’s real-world durability across punishing terrain, river crossings, and steep forest climbs. Triumph says the entry reflects its commitment to proving the capabilities of its adventure and enduro bikes in extreme competition.Walker said, “I’ve raced Romaniacs plenty of times, so it’s cool to be going back in a completely different way racing the Tiger 900. I think it will be fun and the main goal is to win the Adventure Ultimate class”.Sunderland added, “It’s super exciting to take on such an iconic race. The adventure classes are a great way to get involved, and my Tiger 900 will be pretty much standard, so it’s going to be cool to put it to the test”.Ian Kimber, Triumph’s Head of Global Racing Programmes, said, “They’re both experts in their fields, but piloting the Tiger 900 Rally Pro in the Adventure classes will show everyone not just what they are made of, but also what the Tiger can do in extreme environments”.Red Bull Romaniacs begins with the in-city Prolog on July 22, followed by four days of off-road racing.
