Hello Jeff,
I have seen your comments on the Royal Enfield Interceptor.
I have bought one to, and i like it a lot.
But the exhausts are a bit silent. (the sound is great, but to silent).
You said that You have drilled some holes in the exhaust pipe?
Is it possible to sent me some pictures of how You did it? ( where and how many holes, how big).
I hope to hear from You,
Best Regards,
Fjodor Seegers

Hi Jeff . . .
How are you finding the Pirelli tyres on your Interceptor, especially when you want to carve up the corners?
Have you swapped to any other options with decent grip?
And how have you found the seat shape & comfort?
Any other issues you’ve encountered now that you’ve presumably done a few more 1000Ks?
cheers, Steve

Hi Steve,
I find the tyres really good, as I did at the launch in Santa Cruz a few years ago, we were really pushing hard in the Redwoods and hills behind Santa Cruz, myself and Paul Young, a bunch of other journalists and development riders and I could not believe how hard we were riding, well for a basic old school naked! That’s one reason I bought one. The seat, I find it fantastic. A friend borrowed my bike and thought the seat was a bit thin on the padding but was surprised at how well it damped big bumps. Tyres – I will try something else once these are worn. Pirelli were actually in the USA for a long time in the area of the launch, developing the OEM tyres for the 650s. True story. Jeff.
