For 2020 the Yamaha XSR900 is back at the same price of $14,849 Ride Away, in a new retro colour, Dynamic White...

The 2020 XSR900 sport heritage machine is now available. Inspired by Yamaha’s iconic models of the 1970s and 1980s, the XSR900 has become a star of YMA’s sport-heritage range since its release in 2017.

For model year 2020, the XSR900 features an all-new heritage-inspired colour scheme, Dynamic White, which draws inspiration from legends of the 1960s racing era, including Bill Ivy’s 125cc World Championship-winning V4 two-stroke RA31A.

The existing chassis and engine combination have been retained. Pricing also remains unchanged from the 2019 model at $14,849 inc GST ride away.

Based on the popular MT-09 model, the XSR900 is heritage by nature but modern by design. Power is provided by Yamaha’s CP3 847cc triple-cylinder engine, featuring three-levels of traction control (TCS), D-Mode selectable engine maps, and an assist and slipper (AS) clutch. Suspension is a 41mm fork adjustable for compression and rebound, as well as a rear Monoshock adjustable for preload and rebound.

Sport heritage styling cues linking the XSR900 to its forefathers include heritage paint scheme, aluminium tank covers, front and rear aluminium fenders, stitched seat, circular instrument clock, circular tail light and retro-style headlight with aluminium stay.
