The 2016 Bankstown Custom Motorcycle Show brought to us by Hard ‘n’ Fast & Highway 61 MC proved another great success, marking the event’s 26th running, which is no mean feat but is hardly surprising when you look at the level of support and attendance on display.

The show’s line-up is impressive, with a massive section of custom bikes – mainly Harley-Davidsons – but with a sprinkling of other machines here and there, with the quality of the custom machines simply staggering.

There’s everything from bling to bang, with stunningly painted customs through to turbocharged fire breathing monsters – some of which were even started up for the admiring crowds!

The atmosphere is also great, with the Easter Friday date meaning that most people are free and available for the event, with it really showing, with many attendees bringing the whole family to the event, with food and drink available for purchase, including alcohol.

There was plenty of attractions for the day, no matter your interest, with plenty of action on the flat track, with riders almost always out, impressing the crowd and doing wheelies down the straight, even when the weather turned and the rain started.

The reptile show was another popular attraction with a big crowd, while Team Havoc was up against Team Kraken representing the AMC (Australian Medieval Combat)/HMB (Historic Medieval Battle), with plenty of action in armour, with one-on-one combat, as well as some wicked group melees, with combatants pounding away at each other.

There was plenty of security on hand – oh no wait that’s the guys from the Australian Medieval Combat teams.

There was also a stunt section, with Matt Mingay repping the Hot Wheels Stuntz Inc, along with FTP Stunts, with a burnout competition held later in the day, with plenty of smoke billowing out of the stunts area for much of the day.

In the under cover section there was plenty of stalls, for gear, accessories, motorcycle travel and more, with some great causes represented, like the Bikers Against Child Abuse (pictured).

On the main stage there was live music later in the day.

Many of the stalls were for specific shops, offering a great opportunity to see their many creations and past award winning bikes.

A full dyno setup was also present and was running bikes throughout the day, showing some of the impressive figures being generated by the custom machines.

We had a chat with Brian about plenty of the great initiatives the Motorcycle Council of NSW has already represented, along with some of those in the works now.

The Motorcycle Council of NSW was also present with their motorcycling related stickers and some good information for riders.

There was plenty of parking available, with a constant stream of motorcyclists arriving for most of the day! Even during the periods of rain it didn’t slow down!

Almost as busy in the pits as it was out on track! And it was a family affair as well with whole families represented.

The Miss Hard ‘n’ Fast competition was held from 1pm, with the Trophy Presentations held at 4:30pm, including the Miss Hard ‘n’ Fast finalists.

There was even more to see in the parking sections with a huge variety of machines, and plenty of mates catching up before heading into the show.

Some wicked three wheelers were also on display at the show, with plenty of different builds around from varying shops and companies.

The array of custom motorcycles on display was also simply staggering, here are some of the machines and work that caught our eye.
