Link International hooked Simon up with all new gear and he has been loving it so far! Check out what he thought of his new gloves, the Macna Talon RTX. Words & Photos: Simon Harris.

Simon has been using the Macna Talon RTX gloves for seven months now and they are a pretty versatile anytime glove outside of the depths of winter. He has worn them loads and found them to be a great all rounder glove for all but the coldest days. Check out his review here…

The Macna Talon RTX gloves are perfect for all season, except for those freezing mid- winter days!

The medium size I have provides an excellent fit for my stubby fingered hands and is not tight at all around the fingers, which can cause numbness. They are fairly lightweight and are pretty easy to get on and off, too, offering good flexibility for knuckles and finger joints thanks to the dual material construction of supple goatskin leather for the palm-side of the gloves and Spandex top-side. Additional impact protection is provided in the normal finger and knuckle and palm areas, and is non-rigid to maintain full flexibility.

The gloves feature a neat rubber “wiper blade” on the index finger for visor cleaning in the wet. This works quite well once you get to know how to orient your finger correctly. In terms of wet weather glove performance, they are pretty much waterproof due to the Raintex membrane. There is even a drain hole in the cuff to prevent possible glove flooding. Coolness for your fingers is in abundance.

I can say this because I have managed to wear these summer gloves in autumn / winter only so far and, bloody hell, have I gotten some cold, cold digits. Warmer weather, of course, will provide a much more pleasant experience. With digits in mind, the gloves feature “touch tips” on the index and middle fingers for operating touchscreens, gloves on.

The brief for these gloves is summer touring / adventure. I have no doubt that for long stints in the saddle in warmer weather that these gloves will shine.”

The brief for these gloves is summer touring / adventure. I have no doubt that for long stints in the saddle in warmer weather that these gloves will shine. The quality of construction appears to be very good and there are no loose bits of stitching or mishappen placement of padding etc. These smart, versatile gloves are yours at an RRP of $139.95.
