CFMOTO have realed more shots and just announced the latest model of their 700CL-X nakedbike range, the Sport version, will be here in the final quarter of this year. Pricing TBA......

CFMOTO have just released more shots and details of their new model, the 700CL-X Sport. The sport version shares the platform of the other 700 models but has Brembo M50 brakes, clip-ons, Maxxis MA ST2 tyres. It will be on sale from the final quarter and pricing is TBA.

The Sport is part of CFMOTO’s 700CL-X roadbike platform, so it’ll share the same chassis and engine as the Heritage with the family powered by a 693cc parallel-twin engine that delivers 55kW@8500rpm and 68Nm@6500rpm. Changes have been made to give the sport road-based hoops, 17-inch cast wheels, clips-on handlebars, bar-end mirrors, Brembo M50 brakes and dual petal discs.

The Sport will feature some styling changes over the Classic as well as changes to the braking system.

The 700CL-X’s performance amounts to an increase of 18hp (13kW) and 6Nm over CFMOTO’s existing 649cc LAMS-based parallel twin found in the two 650NK variants as well as the 650MT and 650GT. The hike in capacity for the 693cc engine over the 649cc unit has been achieved by a 3mm increase in stroke, and other technical highlights for the updated powerplant include Bosch fuel-injection, split connecting rods, a slipper clutch, and forged pistons for strength and reduced weight.

If the Sport follows the same recipe as the Classic it’ll come with features including a ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control, dual-channel Continental anti-lock braking, ‘Sport’ and ‘Economy’ riding modes, full LED lighting, USB charging and an adaptive headlight that automatically adjusts.
