This new model will join the revered MT line-up, positioned squarely between the acclaimed 650MT and 800MT models. The 700MT is almost identical to the 650, sans for the 693cc capacity (up from 649.3cc) and 55kW/68Nm up from the 650’s 41.5kw/62Nm. Read all about our CFMOTO 650MT here.
At the heart of the 700MT lies the potent 693cc parallel-twin engine, as mentioned this robust powerplant from the 650 boasts a healthy output of 55kW@8,500rpm torque of 68Nm@6,500rpm ensuring that riders have the raw, unadulterated power available on tap to conquer any terrain.
With the steel trellis frame and equipped with a pair of 43mm upside-down forks and a side-mounted monoshock rear and alloy swingarm, we know the 700MT will be good, as the 650MT is so strong and a great handler. We know, we’ve done thousand and thousands of km on one! This setup offers the same impressive 140mm and 145mm of suspension travel in the front and rear respectively.
The 218kg (5kg more than the 650MT) adventure sports tourer is equipped with two 300mm J.Juan front discs and a single 240mm disc in the rear. A pair of 17-inch CST RIDEMIGRA CM-S1 tyres are standard in 120/70 and 160/60 – 17. Wheels are cast alloy, aimed more at road handling.
The TFT display is a welcome addition and includes smartphone connectivity.
An upgrade from the 650MT is the five-inch TFT display, providing crucial information like speed, rpm, fuel level and more. The dashboard also boasts smartphone connectivity, integrated navigation and Type A and Type C USB ports, enabling riders to charge and connect their devices while on the go.
With an 840mm seat height and an 18-litre fuel tank, the 700MT promises an accommodating riding experience.
