Yamaha is pleased to announce the release of the 2020 YZF-R6 supersports weapon, now available in all-new Vivid Orange/Matt Black. The second colour for 2020 is Yamaha Blue.

Yamaha’s YZF-R6 is the bike of choice for top supersport racers around the globe, including reigning Australian Supersport champion Tom Toparis. For 2020 Yamaha has retained the successful chassis and engine combination that claimed back-to-back Australian titles in 2018 and 2019.
Ride away pricing remains unchanged from 2019 at $19,549 incl GST.

The track-focussed YZ-R6 produces 87.1 kW at 14,500 RPM with torque figures of 61.7 Nm at 10,500 RPM.The 599cc inline four-cylinder engine also runs the most advanced electronic control technology ever seen on this model.

Six-levels of traction control (TCS) and D-mode selectable riding modes allows riders to change the characteristics of the bike to suit their needs and to the riding conditions. Yamaha’s Quick Shift System (QSS) delivers lightning-fast clutchless upshifts through the close-ratio six-speed transmission, saving precious lap time.
The YZF-R6 benefits from a range of other YZF-R1 technologies in the braking and suspension areas, as well as further refinements that improve overall precision and control.

  • Aerodynamically efficient fairing design
  • Slimline magnesium subframe
