Hi John, Michael from Tassie, Four PeugeotMetropolis 400i motorcycles were delivered to Australia in 2020; one to WA., two to S., one to Queensland. I purchased mine from Adelaide, had it shipped here, put together by my trusted mechanic who had me sorted with my previous 3 bikes, ’97 K100, 2001 Aprillia RST Futura, 2010 Honda Dn-01. here we are entering 2025 and it has let me down once over just reading 19,000kms. It has a second rear tyre on and just changed the front two two months ago.
Piaggio put their first 3 wheeler on the road in 2003. Peugeot put its first Metropolis on the road 2013. In September 2021, the Italian scooter giants,Piaggio, successfully won a lawsuit against the company Peugeot Motorcycles, (owned before that date by India),that prevented “counterfeit” three wheeled scooters being sold in Italy and France. ((Statistics in 2021 indicated more than 20,000 Metropolis units had been built and sold. And the first upgrade, (facelift) was given to the bike. ))
