Only two more days to go! This Sunday the 19th of May 2024, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) is coming to a city near you. The world’s largest charity event for classic and vintage motorcycle enthusiasts will return in style to raise funds and awareness for men’s health. Press: DGR.

"Everyone involved at Triumph is proud to have played a key role, in collaboration with Mark Hawwa and his team, in growing this incredible community."

This year, the DGR is calling on riders from across the globe to join forces for a monumental push towards hosting 1000 rides simultaneously, in line with its “Side by Side, Worldwide” campaign. The campaign looks to highlight the thousands of riders who ride together on the same day all around the world for a unified cause.

As the world comes together to address the crucial issue of men’s health, the 2024 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride aims to create a powerful, united front by encouraging riders from different corners of the world to participate side by side on the same day. The “Side by Side, Worldwide” theme embodies the spirit of unity, emphasising the global impact that can be achieved when individuals unite for a common cause.

“In 2024, we have set ourselves the goal of reaching 1000 cities around the world,” says Founder and Director of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, Mark Hawwa. “We have ridden with each other on the same day all around the world since 2012. Our community is one that comes together, despite borders and oceans, riding side by side to raise increasingly critical funds and awareness for men’s mental health and prostate cancer. DGR 2024 is the year that we celebrate our fellow gentlefolk around the world that we ride alongside, united by a passion, and driven by the cause.”

DGR founder, Mark Hawwa: "If anyone had said 10 years ago that we'd be celebrating a decade of partnership with Triumph Motorcycles, I would have laughed. That first year of signing with Triumph has always been a highlight for me."

Partners Triumph Motorcycles return to continue their global support of the charity motorcycling event with collaborative merchandise featuring both the DGR and Triumph brands, as well as rewarding the event’s highest fundraisers with brand new modern classic motorcycles. Reserved for the highest fundraiser of 2024 will be a celebration of one of the most iconic Triumph models ever made, The Thruxton 1200 Final Edition.

Paul Stroud, Chief Commercial Officer, Triumph Motorcycles added: “We share the DGR’s ambitious goal for 2024; to bring even more riders together, in more places around the globe, to raise even more money for men’s mental health and prostate cancer. We are working side by side with the DGR and our growing global dealer network to help achieve 1000 Rides. This year, we will be rewarding the highest fundraiser with an iconic motorcycle; the Thruxton 1200 Final Edition, as well as donating a number of prizes to Team Triumph fundraisers. In this way, we hope to unite and inspire Triumph riders across the world on 19 May to join Team Triumph, dress dapper, raise money and enjoy the ride.”

Hedon Helmets, ELF Lubricants, and Quad Lock will also be rejoining the classic inspired charity event, with Consolidated Motor Spares (CMSNL.com) also joining as the newest global sponsor, further rewarding the efforts of the year’s fundraisers.

Riders are encouraged to fundraise for the cause, with all proceeds going to Movember’s men’s mental health and prostate cancer initiatives. The DGR has consistently played a vital role in raising funds and awareness for men’s health, and this year’s campaign is no exception.
