Yamaha unveils MY27 colours for Australian range | YMA has announced a fresh selection of Yamaha colours and graphics for its 2027 motorcycle line-up, with updates spanning the Adventure, Hyper Naked, Sport Heritage, Supersport and Sport Touring families.
Yamaha Motor Australia has revealed its MY27 colour updates, bringing new finishes and graphics to a broad selection of models, with Australian arrivals scheduled from the fourth quarter of 2026 through to the second quarter of 2027. While the announcement focuses on styling rather than mechanical changes, several popular models receive new colour options, giving buyers more choice across Yamaha’s road-going range.
The Ténéré 700 leads the Adventure category, gaining two new colours for 2027: Icon Blue and Crystal Graphite. The retro-inspired Sky Blue option will also continue from the 2026 model year. The updated Ténéré 700 range is expected to arrive in Australia in Q1 2027.
Hyper Naked range gets a red option
Yamaha’s MT family receives several updates, with Impact Red joining the colour selections for the MT-03, MT-07 and MT-09, including their applicable Y-AMT variants. The MT-09 SP and MT-10 SP move to a new Granite Grey/Liquid Metal finish, giving the premium SP models a distinctive new look.
The standard MT-10 retains its existing Ice Storm, Icon Blue and Tech Black options, while the MT-03 and MT-07 continue with their current colours alongside the new red option. Australian arrival timing varies across the range. The MT-09 and MT-09 SP are scheduled for Q4 2026, followed by the MT-03 and MT-07 in Q1 2027. The MT-10 and MT-10 SP are expected in Q2 2027.
Sport Heritage draws on Yamaha racing history
The Sport Heritage family receives some particularly distinctive new finishes. The XSR900 gains Neon White, featuring pink accents and drawing inspiration from the YZF750R of the early 1990s. Midnight Black continues as an alternative.
The XSR900 GP adds Legend Blue to its existing Legend Yellow option. Yamaha says the new finish is inspired by former French Grand Prix motorcycle racer Christian Sarron. The XSR700 carries over its Historic White and Historic Blue colours for another model year. The XSR700 is expected in Q4 2026, while the XSR900 and XSR900 GP are scheduled for Q1 2027.
Supersport range adds fresh colour choices
Yamaha’s Supersport range also receives several updates, although existing colours remain available across much of the line-up. The YZF-R3 adds Antarctic White, joining Team Yamaha Blue and Raven. The learner-approved YZF-R7 gains Adrenalin Yellow/Fluo Red, while the YZF-R9 adds Matt Phantom Blue/Fluo Red to its Team Yamaha Blue and Raven choices.
The flagship YZF-R1 will be offered in Raven alongside the traditional Team Yamaha Blue, while the YZF-R1M continues in Carbon Fibre. The YZF-R15M retains its Icon Performance finish, with no colour changes announced. The YZF-R9, YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M are scheduled for Q4 2026 arrivals. The YZF-R15M is expected in Q1 2027, with the YZF-R3 and YZF-R7 following in Q2 2027.
Sport Touring receives new finishes
The Tracer family also gets attention for MY27. The Tracer 9 GT will be available in Tech Black with updated graphics, alongside a new Ceramic Grey finish. The range-topping Tracer 9 GT+ gains two new colours, Galaxy Blue and Performance Silver. The Tracer 7 carries over its Midnight Black and Redline finishes, while the FJR1300AE continues in Cobalt Blue. The Sport Touring models are scheduled for Australian arrival in Q1 2027.
Yamaha says the MY27 updates reflect its ongoing KANDO philosophy, centred on delivering satisfaction and excitement through its products. While no mechanical revisions are detailed in this announcement, the colour changes provide a fresh look across a substantial portion of the Australian road bike range.
