Since the first version was released in 1987, the Kawasaki KLR has been known as the one bike to do everything. Kawasaki say the touring hungry dual-purpose machine will travel long distances, while offering the versatility to accommodate off-road excursions as well as the daily commute.
Kawasaki say the KLR offers a riding position for terrific all-day-comfort, plenty of carrying capacity, an incredibly efficient engine and a large fuel tank for extended time between fill ups. It is as happy on a 10-minute run to the grocery store as it is on a 10-day cross-country tour.
With a 21-inch front wheel and plenty of suspension travel, the KLR650 lets you take on the challenges of back roads across the country – and the world – in complete confidence. The fuel injection engine offers reliability and fuel efficiency.
In Australia two KLR650 versions will be available: Standard and the Adventure model, both are factory fitted with ABS and are fuel injected.
A fuel tank designed to minimise residual fuel volume, numerous strengthened parts and increased riding confidence when carrying luggage, reduced vibrations and increased generator capacity contribute to improved reliability and comfort, exactly what you need in a tough adventure partner.
In Australia two versions will be available: KLR650 and KLR650 Adventure, both models are factory fitted with ABS and are fuel injected. The 2023 KLR, standard model, comes in Candy Lime Green livery. The recommended retail price for the KLR650 is $9394 (plus on-road costs).
The RRP for the KLR Adventure is $10,394 (plus on-road costs). The KLR650 Adventure adds the following items as standard: lockable panniers, which hold a combined 10kg, fog lamps, frame sliders and DC and USB sockets. The Adventure is available in a Cypher Camo Grey livery.
